Agradecimentos

1) Meu namoro ter se mantido lindo, forte, saudável e com bons prognósticos de assim continuar;
2) Embora tenha passado por momentos ruins em termos de atividade física (joelho lesionado e pós cirúrgico chato como qualquer um), consegui criar o hábito incontestável de prática de exercícios físicos;
3) Acredito que, por mais que tenha perdido alguns, ganhei novos amigos;
4) Ter conseguido concluir meu TCC sem problemas;
5) Ficar numa lista de espera de concurso com chances reais de ser chamada;
6) Ter ganhado R$2,50 na lotofácil (me disseram que tem que agradecer até essas coisas pequeninas, porque atraem coisas maiores);
7) Ter completado um quarto de século e ainda me confundirem com uma 18- (se a média se mantiver, com 50 acharão que tenho 36);
9) Por ter ganho uma nova família (ainda não de forma oficial) e me aproximar mais dela;
10) Ter me apaixonado várias vezes, pela mesma pessoa;
11) Por ter ajudado algumas pessoas e ter recebido um obrigado sincero;
12) Por ter descoberto um lugar que vende meu segundo sucrilhos favorito a preço de banana;
13) Pelas pessoas gentis que encontro por aí;
14) Por ter uma mamãe muito forte - minha heroína;
15) Pelos livros maravilhosos que li este ano e pelas lindas, absorventes histórias vividas com eles;
16) Ainda que eu não saiba como as coisas irão se desenrolar, estou feliz pelo meu "benjamino" ter encontrado alguém que esteja lhe fazendo feliz no momento;
17) Pela pequena teimosia em querer aprender (mesmo que bem por cima) Romeno;
18) Pelo aparente fim das minhas dores horríveis de estômago e do refluxo - e por poder tirar minhas sonecas pós-refeição - que eu nem sabia mais qual era a sensação;
19) Pela viagem ao Peru (tudo bem que foi no fim de 2012, mas a sensação foi de ter ingressado o ano com uma certeza: o mundo é belo e vale a pena ser conhecido);
20) Pela companhia das minhas primas em suas férias de Julho;
21) Pelas noites sem insônia;
22) Pela super recomendação de Once Upon a Time da Sheilinha;
23) Pelas conquistas do meu amor;
24) Pelo protetor solar que ele me emprestou sem compromisso expresso de devolução - desculpa, acabou;
25) Pelo seu esforço de me acompanhar nas corridas;
26) Pela minha sexta colocação na VII prova pedestre UEL;
27) Por ter irmãos tão legais e a gente brigar muito pouco;
28) Por ver que eu sinto saudade deles;
29) Pelo Kindle a R$60,00;
30) Pela ida à Argentina/Paraguai que me rendeu os cofrinhos mais fofos da minha vida e a preços de bolso (sim, pelas economias feitas no ano);

Boas Festas a todos, e estejam sempre gratos!!!

“Preservais nossos monumentos sagrados.

Look at the stars

Ainda assim, ganhei a noite.

Feelings

I haven't told you that day. But the most important thing is how you still want to protect me, embrace me and kiss me after all my ups and downs, after so many tears cross my face, and after I seem to runaway from feelings.

Couldn't help to think about this song :P

Espelhos

Eles sempre me encantam.

E hoje sou a guardiã
dos seus sonhos de amor,
 Amo-a demais.

Podem destroçar
tudo o que veem,
porque ela de um sopro
volta a criá-lo,
a partir do nada,
a partir do nada.
Amo-a demais.

Ela apaga as horas
de cada relógio
e me ensina a pintar
transparente a dor,
com seu sorriso.

Levanta uma torre
do céu até aqui,
e costura em mim asas
que me ajudam a subir,
a toda pressa,
a toda pressa.
Amo-a demais.

Conhece bem cada guerra,
cada ferida, cada ser.
Conhece bem cada guerra
da vida e do amor também.

Desenha-me uma paisagem
E me faz vivenciá-lo,
em um bosque de lápis
se apodera de mim.
Amo-a demais.

E me prende num laço
que não aperta jamais,
como um fio de seda
que não posso soltar,
não posso soltar,
não quero soltar.
Amo-a demais.

Quando fixo em seus olhos,
encaro o mar,
dois espelhos de água
ornados em cristal.
Amo-a demais...

Só posso me sentar,
só posso conversar.
Só posso me atrapalhar,
só posso aceitar
ser somente sua,
tão somente sua.
Amo-a demais...

Leitura super recomendada.

Abraço

Se um dia você se der conta
de que o mundo é grande
e de que eu sou pequena,
espero que ainda assim
deseje minha companhia
para juntos explorarmos
toda essa imensidão.
Que eu não tenha que
lhe dizer adeus nunca,
porque não quero procurar
resquícios seus entre
o resto dos homens, porque
eu não quero ninguém
que não seja você mesmo.
Se um dia se der conta
de que é grande o mundo,
espero que entenda, João,
que não há abraço de um laço
pequeno como o meu
que abrigue amor maior
que esse grande mundo.

Ayer

Ayer - Vicentico

sujo produto esnobe, antes vendido
em feira livre circulante, mundo reduzido
aos limites desses olhos - traços retos -
que tudo viam simples como sua forma.

Há espaço pra crescer. Verdadeiro desafio,

Learn with Mish

I liked what she wrote, so I'm sharing this:

10 THINGS EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW THAT SCHOOL WON’T TEACH YOU

10 Things Every Girl Should Know That School Won’t Teach You

Hi everyone,

The things you learn in class will help you throughout the rest of your life, but that doesn’t mean they’re the only skills you need.  In fact, I’ve found that some of life’s most important lessons happen outside the classroom.  Today, I wanted to share 10 lessons that all the reading, writing and arithmetic in the world won’t teach you – these are lessons learned only through experiencing life’s rollercoaster of ups and downs. With this knowledge under your belt, hopefully you will be able to approach the future a little more prepared for everything to come – from celebrations to setbacks to everything in between.  Ready? Let’s turn to Chapter One…

1.) The importance of rest: I firmly believe in all of my subbies’ abilities to achieve their wildest dreams – but it’s important that you are leaving enough time in the day to give your body (and brain) some rest.  We should all channel our inner Superwoman when it comes to pursuing our passions, but if you’re always doing a million things a day – even if they’re all enjoyable – eventually, you will burn out.  A lot of people learn this the hard way, so take my advice now and give your body the break it deserves.  Whether it’s a pampering day at the spa, a night in with the girlfriends or just an effort to actually get 8 hours of sleep (it’s harder than it sounds!), giving your body time to rest and recharge is what will help you keep doing what you love in the long run.

2.) Credit card checklist: A lot of people attribute post-college life with financial freedom.  And with that financial freedom comes one very appealing perk: credit cards.  But before you go dashing off to the nearest bank, make sure to ask yourself three questions (I call it the “credit card checklist”): 1.) Do I have a steady source of income? 2.) Have I been responsible with my money in the past? 3.) Will I be able to stay under the monthly credit limit? If you answered yes to all three of these questions, then you are set to apply for a credit card.  A lot of banks will target new graduates, so make sure you are really ready for the responsibility!

3.) Know your needs: Know what makes you happy – then don’t be afraid to ask for it.  Whether it’s in the workplace, in your relationships, or any other part of your life, standing up for yourself is something you should never be afraid to do.  A lot of people may avoid it because they are afraid it will make them appear selfish or demanding, but in the end, you are in charge of your own happiness.  Don’t be afraid to ask for what you deserve!

4.) Friendships take effort: Friendships can feel so easy in school; after all, you see each other in class everyday.  Unfortunately, that isn’t the way it always is.  As we grow up, our lives get filled with new things – and sometimes before we know it, those effortless friendships have faded into the background in the blink of an eye.  If I’ve learned anything, it’s that even the best friendships require effort to keep the bond strong.  And just because they take some work doesn’t mean they’re not worth holding onto! So don’t forget to call up your friends on the weekends or set up a weekly dinner date.

5.) Focus inwards, not outwards: One of the biggest pitfalls you can encounter in life is to constantly compare yourself to those around you.  It’s okay – we all fall into that trap every once and awhile. The thing is, comparing yourself will never make you happy – and that’s a life lesson that it takes some people years to learn!  Instead of focusing on those around you, turn the focus inwards.  Find out what makes you happy and focus on doing that.  Don’t be afraid to relish all of your own victories, from the big to the small.

6.) Take risks: Just because something scares you doesn’t mean it can’t be the best thing that’s ever happened to you.  Taking risks in your life can have huge pay-offs.  And even if they don’t always go the way you’d like, I’ve always believed that I would rather have experienced it than be left wondering “what if?”  The next time an opportunity comes knocking, take it – some of the best things in life only happen when you leave what’s comfortable and take a leap of faith.

7.) Travel: Nothing opens your eyes and refreshes your spirit as much as travel.  I don’t know if it’s the change of scenery or the ability to experience a different culture, but traveling always puts things in perspective.  It makes you realize that the world is so much bigger than just you! I’m not saying that everyone has to go on an expensive trip to another continent; in fact, simply going on a weekend road trip to a different city can be a breath of fresh air.  I highly recommend that everyone take at least one trip outside his or her city – it will forever change the way you view the world.

8.) Avoid gossip: Almost every girl has gossiped before – but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to keep doing it. Gossip may seem harmless and fun at first, but it can easily turn into an ugly tool that can hurt feelings, tear apart friends and ruin relationships.  Don’t underestimate the power of words.  Next time you feel the urge the gossip, picture how you would feel if you were the other person overhearing what you were about to say.  If you can’t say it in front of the person you are talking about, don’t say it at all!

9.) Appreciate the little things: Sometimes we get so caught up in the crazy whirlwind of life that we lose sight of what’s important.  I find that taking a step back and appreciating the little pleasures that often go unnoticed – from the smell of fresh coffee in the morning to the way the city glistens after a thunderstorm – always helps me refocus.  Think of the way little kids get so excited about the simplest things that we usually take for granted.  The world is a beautiful, exciting place – let’s spend more time focusing on that than worrying about things out of our control.

10.) You are stronger than you know: No matter what life throws your way, no matter how many times your heart gets broken, no matter how many disappointments you experience, know this: you are stronger than you know. Time heals all wounds, and no matter how down you may feel, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. You will emerge from every low period in your life with a lesson learned and a better understanding of yourself.  So let yourself cry – but after awhile, let yourself heal.  You might be surprised at your own strength.

I hope these lessons were helpful to all of you! If you have back to school questions, make sure to check out my answers HERE.

Which lesson hits closest to your heart? Any that you think I forgot to include? Tell me in the comments! And let me know if you want me to keep doing these types of posts in the future :)

São, antes, o pensamento não estampado na imagem;
o coração vibrando ao ler qualquer demonstração de afeto;
Culpa do beijo.

Poeminha do dia

Maquinomem
O homem esposou a máquina
e gerou um híbrido estranho:
um cronômetro no peito
e um dínamo no crânio.
As hemácias de seu sangue
são redondos algarismos.

Crescem cactos estatísticos
em seus abstratos jardins.

Exato planejamento,
a vida do maquinomem.
Trepidam as engrenagens
no esforço das realizações.

Em seu íntimo ignorado,
há uma estranha prisioneira,
cujos gritos estremecem
a metálica estrutura;
há reflexos flamejantes
de uma luz imponderável
que perturbam a frieza
do blindado maquinomem.

Ponto alto

Mama

I know my mama says I shouldn't get used to being alone, but the fact is that I'm still going to be alone for a long time. The funniest thing about this post is that while I was writing it, she sent me a mesage which said "Love you, beauty. Miss you, kisses".
I'll take good care of me, mama. I'll make my best to not turn into a totally independent person.
Love you too.

31 songs

I started reading today 31 songs, from Nick Hornby. It's a book about what music means to his life, and since I'm a great fan of him, I got really interested in. I have to confess I don't know most of the songs of the list, because I wasn't a great listener of pop music (specially in English - I'm brazilian) til the age of 14, maybe. But even though I don't know them, the way he writes keeps me just reading on. The first song he brings on is called Your love is the place where I come from.
Well, I don't want to tell the story about the song, just want to share something I read in this first chapter, if I may call it that way, that I had to admit it's plainly true.

"[...] if you love a song, love it enough for it to accompany you throughout the different stages of your life, then any specific memory is rubbed away by use".
I used to not like some songs because of the memories they brought me, or, in reverse, I used to love some songs which remember me good moments, but sometimes thought wrong to like them, because the reason I felt happy didn't exist any longer. And I was just being stupid. That's why I'd kept listening to them along the years - after I could see how silly I was being. I want the songs that inspired me a good moment continue to be present in my life, as I could choose the soundtrack of it and feel alive. I want the people I love now and may love in the future to know my soul has something registered on it. And if they like it too, that they shall dance with me.

Thanks for letting me share my inner songs with you

Talk to me

I don't wanna be the person to only receive your compliments, I wanna be someone you like to talk to.

Mirror

So, I thought this text has something to do with the theme of the blog - whatever it may look like to be. I hope you enjoy the reading. I follow them on the facebook... there are a lot of good posts to reflect about.

by Sarah May Bates

What people see in you is a mirror of their experiences, their issues, their tastes and understanding. So the question is – what do you see in others? Do you see hate, anger, or kindness and love? I firmly believe that we tell others how we want to be treated with every tiny subtle action we take. Whatever you put out there will come back to you, and however you treat others they will be more inclined to treat you back. Do you have anyone you know that is just plain old pure goodness and every time they are around people everyone immediately feels at ease? I think people can see and feel the love that is overlaid on them and in someway they feel unafraid and understood. It’s very hard to be mean to someone that smiles at you with love.

Perception is a funny thing. It’s different depending on your mood at a time of day, what you read on the news in the morning, something someone said that you have heard rumors about. So many things can shift what you think is reality in the blink of an eye. And in this frozen state of pain and confusion, what can you do to stay positive? Remember who you are, get back to your center, and remind yourself that certain things are out of your control. AND always think the best of people. That one is the hard one. The cool part is that this will never get you into trouble, even when you are wrong. Thinking the best of people only helps you to do the right thing for yourself, which is be a good and loving person that embodies everything positive. I don’t mean you should give a bad person your life savings and hope for the best, but thinking that people have the best intentions at all times will get you much farther with much less drag along the way.

You yourself are read in so many different ways by people and you cannot control what they see. All you can do is know your intentions are good, you are good and loving, and they are probably trying their hardest to overcome a hurdle in their life. Be open, aware, and positive, and hope for the best. At the end of the day you can’t control anyone and what they think of you or how they treat you and as soon as you start examining them and not yourself, you’ve lost your self-awareness. What you can control is how you decide to act, and how you deal with that information. No one has the power to make you feel anything that you don’t decide to feel.

Decide on letting the bad go, remembering you are loving and good, and I believe you will see that reflected back at you from everyone you touch.

Happy Sunday and love to you all, xox Sarah
